Around the Table

Around the Table was built from the ground up as a hub for the neighborhood and boardgamers alike. As a gaming establishment, we feature a large selection of boardgames for sale both popular and niche, new and used. As a neighborhood establishment, we aim to provide locals a space to unwind and play boardgames while knocking back an IPA. We also make the kids (at heart) happy with a large selection of locally crafted ice-cream by the scoop. Into something different? Try an on-tap Kombucha or organic Soda. Events we host range from charity beer tastings to public game nights and MeetUps. More than anything, we aim to create a place that isn't just beer and isn't just geek. Everyone has something to bring to the table, whether it's a game or simply the whole family. We hope to see you soon--Around the Table

Apologies for the crowds, but if you are planning on coming this weekend to hang out, please be aware that we are hosting tournaments for the Magic: The Gathering Pre-Release of Kaladesh!.

If you have a large group, give us a call in advance to ensure there will be space.

Boardgames are for chumps. Real (wo)men play Role-Playing Games!

So we bring them in. A fan of Eldritch Horror? Bring your horrific adventures to life with the long awaited new edition of books for the Call of Cthulhu RPG. The Keeper Rulebook, Investigators' Handbook and Keeper Screens just dropped by and they look stunning!

The new printing of The Burning Wheel, a narrative heavy RPG system, is still plowing full steam ahead and their exhaustive Codex also landed last week on our doorsteps. And Fantasy Flight Games' "The End of the World" series finally moves into the realm of dystopian robotic revolutions. What would your friends do if they were suddenly planted in a future full of sentient machines? And what if they were angry?

Only one way to find out.

By the way, our good friend Aaron is starting a Sunday Evening MeetUp where he'll run one-time sessions of various Role-Playing Games for his adoring fans!

With yesterday's talk about local Kickstarters out of the way, let's move on to new releases.

Headlining the pack is the new Agricola Family Edition, a radical streamlining of the classic farming game of the same name that among other things reduces its play-time to 45 minutes! And for 'Push-your-Luck'ers we have a smorgasbord of fresh offerings, from expansions for games like Shadowrun Crossfire, Dice Masters and the Bang Dice Game to completely new titles like Shadowrun Encounters and the Deadpool edition of Battle Yahtzee.

Of special note is the hand-building game Grifters.
Great artwork, quick-to-learn and even easier to set-up and put away, plus a small price tag and short playtime!
